Game. Set. Match. Wimbledon took centre stage in the new part of Westquay during the two week tournament.For the whole of Wimbledon the Esplanade, by the old Southampton walls, has been transformed into centre court.
Fake grass, deck chairs, purple bean bags and a giant screen transformed the stone space into the perfect place to watch tennis.
There’s even been an outside bar with a Pimm’s bus serving the favoured drink of the tournament. 
The surrounding restaurants did take away deals so you could have some food while watching the likes of Murray, Federer and Venus battle it out. 
It was really amazing to see the space completely changed and to see so many people enjoying the tennis.
