Going to get a tree and decorating it is one of the big markers that Christmas is just around the corner. It’s such an exciting time of the year and I love the tradition of picking the tree and the smell of a real fir in the house. It just makes Christmas!

Where to get real Christmas trees in Hampshire 2022
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I don’t want a lot of Christmas…there is just one thing I need… a real Christmas tree!
The festive season is upon us and it’s the third year of writing this guide about where to find real Christmas trees in Hampshire.
Of course it’s been updated with everything you need to know about picking a real tree in Hampshire to kick off your festive celebrations.
Like usual, I’ve listed the stores, farms and garden centres by location and alphabetical order. And, to help you plan your trip, the Instagram accounts are linked where possible.
Things to know before you go…
- Please double check the websites and social media accounts before you go to pick your tree. While I strive to make sure the information is correct, things can change quickly, especially after the last few years we’ve had!
- This list is not exhaustive, so I’ll be reviewing it regularly and making updates as I see places opening up. At this time of year lots of pop up places tend to open up so, let me know if you spot any.
- Often you need your wellingtons, a saw, some gardening gloves (trust me tree sap is really hard to get off of that beautiful Christmas jumper or your new winter coat) and, to avoid a year’s worth of picking needles, you will need something to protect the inside of your car. There’s a list at the bottom of this post with everything you need.

Cranborne has been selling trees since 1980! They stock a variety of species including the traditional Norway Spruce and the Nordmann Fir. There’s also wreaths and other Christmas decor usually for sale too.

Hillier Garden Centre is well established in Hampshire with locations all over, including in Liss. Tree varieties include a range of pot grown and pre-cut Nordmann, Norway Spruce, Fraser Fir and Noble Firs. Hillier also has a huge Christmas section, artificial tress and decorations for sale.
Anyone who lives local to a store will know it’s got a pretty amazing Christmas section each year that’s great for a look around.

Rotherbarn Christmas Trees, Liss

This year Rotherbarn, due to a lack of standard sized trees, has made the decision not to open to the public in 2022. You can still make an enquiry as they can offer deliveries of a small number of 5-6ft trees. Larger trees can be viewed by appointment. Please enquire by phone or email.

Wylds Farm Christmas Trees, Liss

Wylds just looks incredible every year and this year’s no exception including street food vendors, choirs and tractor and trailer rides and a Christmas forest trail. Mulled wine or barista coffee once you’ve picked your tree… this sounds like my kind of place! There’s even a Christmas postbox so you can make sure Santa gets your letter. Oh and your four legged friend is welcome too.
They have a large selection of trees including Spruce, Blue Spruce and Nordman.

Garsons is magical at Christmas and has an incredible Christmas decoration section. It also, of course, offers a range of real pre-cut trees.
Put some time aside for this one, it’s one of those garden centres where you’ll want to spend a good hour or more having a look because it’s really festive!

J. West Christmas Tree Supplier is a lovely family run business in the heart of Titchfield. And, it really does deliver that festive feeling.
Not only does it offer Christmas tree delivery locally but you can go to the farm and pick your tree too.
I’ve been getting my trees from Jimmy West for three years now and the trees are really good quality.

I can verify this pop up is back thanks to the three giant Father Christmas inflatable that have appeared in the field surrounding the roundabout.
It’s in a convenient location right next to the M27 and stocks a range of trees. It’s not a shop it’s more like a kiosk on the side of the road affair and it’s back for 2022. Best place for details is the Facebook page.

On the corner off the Botley Road you’ll find Pinkmead Farm. It stocks a range of different trees, holly wreaths, mistletoe and logs. I’ve personally bought from here before and found it very reliable. I don’t think they are on Instagram, I’ve not been able to find them anyway!

No Christmas is complete without a visit to The Garden Society – I say this every year but it is true. Famed for its stunning displays, great cafe and Garden centre, interior stockist, cafe and events specialist The Garden Society is also a wonderful place to go and chop down your own tree, pick up a pre-cut or find an artificial fir.
For 2022 The Elf Society makes a comeback with a spectacular festive world for you to explore – just make sure you’ve got your ticket in advance.

This year you will not find Meon Valley Christmas Trees at Hampshire Farmers Markets. But, good news… you can still contact them directly to arrange a tree.
To get a locally grown Nordmann fir contact them to arrange collection by appointment from their yard. They are also delivering by arrangement – contact John 07747784234 and book a slot.

Don’t forget to take…
If you’re looking for real Christmas trees in Hampshire, you’re going to need these essential items…
- A saw – some places are pick your own Christmas tree and you will need a saw if one isn’t supplied
- Gardening gloves – fir trees can be a bit rough, wet or sticky, protect your mitts!
- A waterproof – hello winter, plus it will protect your clothes if your tree is wet or sticky
- A sheet – if you’re worried about your car take a sheet to lay down
- Sturdy shoes – grab those wellington boots
- Your camera – if you want to capture a few snaps
Hampshire’s Real Christmas Trees

Picking your tree is a Christmas tradition I have embraced since having my own home. To me, it kicks off the festive season and is the best experience to share with your family and friends.
I’ve had a real tree for the last five years and they smell amazing. Not only do they transform your space instantly but it adds that extra special festive feeling too.
Hampshire has so many places you can get a tree, and the majority are locally sourced with very few travel miles.
