Welcome to Things to do in Hampshire This Weekend 5 February 2021, a special Valentine’s Day Edition!
At the beginning of the year I turned my regular Friday Instagram Stories recommendations into a blog post for the new year.
Every Friday I’ll be sharing five things across Hampshire for you to do, eat or visit. Normally my suggestions cover everything from events and places to explore to places to eat and drink at.
But, we’re in a National Lockdown so, I’m working with what we’ve got. This week I’m providing inspiration for Valentine’s, Galentine’s or Palentine’s with some cute suggestions to let someone know you’re thinking about them. Oh and a couple of ‘at home’ date ideas too.
Take a look at this week’s suggestions because it’s time to spread a little love…
Things to do in Hampshire 5 February 2021
This week, Things To Do In Hampshire 5 February 2021, I’m focusing on getting ready for Valentine’s Day which is next Saturday 14 February.
And, it’s all about the preparation, get your orders in so everything’s here in time for the day.
I tend to vary year by year on how I feel about Valentine’s Day but, this year we need reasons to celebrate, am I right?
Whether it’s your partner, your family, your friends or your pup, I think telling someone you love them or showing them you care for them is just what we all need right now. Especially if you’ve been deprived of a hug or two or three, or a hundred!
Oh and I’ve levelled up for one week only from five to 16 suggestions to help you find the right plan to treat the one you lurrrrvvveee.
I’ve divided it up into three categories for ease…
- Postal Deliveries including flowers
- Dinner In
Who doesn’t love happy post? An exciting parcel will never fail to lift the spirits – boring bills be gone!
While I’ve put where these local businesses are based, most deliver nationwide if your loved one lives a little further away.
Bad Mama’s eat brownies! Send a slab of gooey brownie goodness through the post to level up your loved one’s Valentine’s Day pudding.

Lockdown has been responsible for many things and I don’t feel like people focus on the positives. I know, you’re wondering where I’m going with this…
Bakeries that deliver are on the rise and are flourishing. Treats at home for all occasions without the faff of the queue outside the bakery door, leaving you more time to do the things you love. Nice!
