Take a look at some different ways to spend your bank holiday in Things To Do In Hampshire 28 May 2021

So last weekend it was still a little bit quiet across the county BUT, this weekend is shaping up to be a GOOD’UN!

Not got plans yet? Or have got plans but are willing to trade up? Get your peaky blinders around these fun things to do in Hampshire.

1. Eat & Shop at The Shed *LAUNCH WEEKEND*

I’ve been waiting so long for the launch of The Shed in Bordon and the moment is upon us. It’s a big hanger style building full of different street food and artisan makers and creators. And, without jumping the gun, *I think* they are all independents. WINNER.

It launches on Saturday and honestly, I think I’m going to be heading there a lot, it looks so cool and think it’s going to have a great vibe.

I’m going, so even if you don’t make it follow my Instagram stories and check back for a blog post next week to find out what I think. I will also share top tips and recommendations.

Starts from 9am to late – this is what weekends are made for!

2. Ringwood & Winchester’s Farmers’ Market

A leisurely stroll around one of these Farmers’ Markets in Ringwood and Winchester will have you filling up your bag with goodies to take home.

Enjoy local cheese, meats, veg and so much more and stock up to make your weekend a delightful foodie treat.

  • Ringwood – Saturday 10am-2pm
  • Winchester – Sunday 9am-2pm

3. Sky High Night Glow at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight

Hot air balloons on the beautiful Isle of Wight? OH HELLO!

I’m so keen to try and get over to this event, there’s live music and it just looks like such a magical evening. It’s really easy to travel over with the Wightlink Ferry service too and could be a really fun adventure.

Starts from 5pm – there’s lots of details and you need a ticket so click the heading to find out more.

4. The Hotwalls Studios Creative Market in Old Portsmouth

Head to The Hotwalls Studios from 10am to 4pm on 29 and 30 May to see a host of local creators sharing their wares at the creative market.

I love the events put on by the studios, it’s a gorgeous part of Portsmouth and the creative have such brilliant things to buy from homeware to art and more.

5. Museum in Steam at The Brickworks Museum in Bursledon

Head to Bursledon and The Brickworks Museum on 30 May from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm for local history, craft stalls and steam engines!

This Weekend in Hampshire

Are you pleased to be back? I am, although I’m easing myself back in slowly and at my own pace. I’m really enjoying having the option to go and enjoy something other than the four walls of home. But, it can feel a bit overwhelming and we’ve not done a lot with friends or family yet.

On top of all these fun events and things to do in Hampshire your favourite restaurants and cafes are back, along with a lot of major attractions and museums.

If you can, go help them out this weekend, your support is going to help them and Hampshire get back on its feet. Because, let’s face it, this last year is going to take some recovering!

The weather is set to be sunny and after the last two weeks of solid rain, we need to get out and enjoy beautiful Hampshire over the next three days.
