Things to do in Hampshire 26 March 2021
Wow, for a hot minute then I thought I was totally out of ideas. Talk about leave it to the last minute. It was late last night before I could think of something to focus on this week. This is the thirteenth week of coming up with ideas in lockdown, and this was my first proper struggle.
I didn’t originally mean to give this week’s Things To Do In Hampshire 19 March 2021 such a heavy Portsmouth slant. But, I literally can’t write enough posts fast enough!
The great thing about all of these recommendations is that I’ve tried them all and can highly recommend them!
Here’s five businesses in Hampshire to discover, some you can still physically shop in and the others you can find online.
A divine mini market come corner shop full of incredible local and artisan produce. Not only will it perk up a dull weekend but you’re sure to find some extra ingredients to elevate your recipes this weekend.
It’s full of awesome produce that’s going to give you all those lovely farmers market and fancy shop feels.
They’ve got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, they’ve got whozits and whatzits galore. You want thingamabobs? They’ve got twenty! 🧜♀️
In Coastal Remedy there’s a curated selection of clothing, homeware, yoga equipment, plants, essential oils and books. It’s so my kind of place and offers some really gorgeous things for your overall wellbeing. This is where I bought my oil diffuser from!
Click the title above to find over 10 great zero waste shops across Hampshire. Perfect for swapping out every day plastics for more sustainable alternatives.
Clicking on the link above takes you to my Love Southsea post. I have worked with them before as you’ll see from the labelling on the post. This mention here is not an Ad – Love Portsmouth doesn’t know I’m recommending them in this post. Cor blimey you’ve got to make this crystal clear nowadays!
Local market, brand and community champion is the best way to describe LuLu and her Portsmouth centric company Love Southsea.
Selling a range of great clothes, homeware and art all with a Portsmouth perspective, that will really resonate with people from the area.
Pick up some freshly roasted beans, oh yes and donuts from Hideout Coffee. You can also pick up a lot of very cool merchandise here too, from t-shirts to mugs. It is hands down one of my number one favourite places in Hampshire, from the design to the decent donuts and coffee on sale. If you’ve not been, it’s time to go!
Well this week was epic hard work to think of a new topic to help you discover Hampshire. I’ll definitely be brainstorming this weekend to think of a few more things to share with you from next week.
Portsmouth has a thriving independent business, food and coffee scene and is really pushing the entire county to up its game.

What to expect from ‘Things To Do In Hampshire This Weekend’ posts
At the beginning of 2021 I turned my regular Friday Instagram Stories recommendations into a blog post for the new year.
Every Friday I share five things across Hampshire for you to do, eat or visit. Normally my suggestions cover everything from events and places to explore to places to eat and drink at.
I started this series out of lockdown and in under a week we were back under lock and key. But, I haven’t let that stop me still coming up with plenty of ideas for a bit of light relief in lockdown.
It’s one of the only places on my blog where I’ll share things I like the look of but, I may not have tried and tested. It’s nice to support businesses or places you’re yet to visit. After all, I can’t be everywhere all the time! Or can I? Knowing me, I will try!
For guidelines and what to expect from this blog post every week, read the first in the series…
