Things to do in Hampshire 24 September 2021
Hello Autumn! I’m back from Cornwall and here for some incredible things to do this weekend! I don’t know about you but, I really want to make the most of the weather while it’s still here.
And, don’t forget that all the local farms are starting to sell and offer picking of pumpkins! You can find all the best spots in Hampshire in a blog guide I wrote last year…
A GUIDE TO PUMPKIN PICKING IN HAMPSHIRE
Here’s five Things To Do In Hampshire 24 September 2021…
1. ReClaim Southampton – an arts, sports and beats festival
📅 25 September
⏰ Everyday from 10am – 6pm
📍See Events map below: West Quay, Carlton Place, East Park, Palmerston Park – all in central Southampton within walking distance of each other.
🎟 No ticket required
💲Free
Celebrate street culture with this new festival celebrating the best local street art, sport and music. The inaugural event by Go Southampton, part of the bid for UK City Of Culture 2025 status is this Saturday. It’s an opportunity for adults to get out of their comfort zones and try something new, plenty for kids too.
This looks like a lot of fun, and SO up my street! It feels dynamic and big step in the right direction for Southampton’s events scene.
2. Bats about Bats! A Walk by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust
📅 25 September
⏰ 7-9pm
📍 Overton, Southington Lane, Overton, Basingstoke, RG25 3DT
🎟 Ticket required
💲 Free
I love a night time nature walk. I’m not embarrassed to admit I’ve been on a few of these and bats are always exciting!
It’s also something a bit different which is great for switching things up.
3. Emsworth Beer, Cider and Wine Festival
📅 24-26 September
⏰ Various Times From 10am – check the session you book
📍 Emsworth Community Centre, Church Path, Emsworth, Hampshire PO10 7DD
🎟 Ticket required
💲 £12.50
This sounds like such a great community focused event with over 25+ delicious cask-conditioned ales, ciders and Emsworth’s independent wine merchants, Bush Vines, Portal, Dingwall & Norris, and Vin, providing a range of wines by the glass.
Indian Street Food will be provided by Emsworth’s Darbar Restaurant too!
No instagram that I can find – let me know if you do!
4. Art in the Garden Returns to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey
📅 From 25 September
⏰ 10-5pm
📍 Jermyn’s Lane, Ampfield, Romsey, SO51 0QA
🎟 Tickets required, part of the normal entry price
💲 From £12.10
Art in the Garden is my favourite time at the gardens, there’s so many installations to discover and it’s such a lovely way to spend a day. I’ve been before but I’d love to go again.
5. Ringwood & Winchester Farmers’ Market
📅 Ringwood 25 September / Winchester 26 September
⏰ 10am-2pm / 9am-2pm
📍 The Furlong, Ringwood, BH24 1AT / The Broadway, Winchester, SO23 9BE
🎟 No ticket required
💲 Free
The Hampshire markets are going to be full of Autumnal produce, perfect for the start of the season.
