Look this weekend you’ve got your pick of activities, museums, restaurants, cafes, brunch, dinner, art galleries and more. You name it, it’s probably back on the cards.

While I’m sure you’ve got some ideas of where you want to head to first, take a look at these events and things to do to help inspire your plans.

1. Enjoy Vintage Vehicles Along The Watercress Line

Marvel at vintage vehicles at the stations along The Watercress Line. Click the heading above to find out more.

Head to Ropley stations for engines, cars, motorbikes and tractors and Alresford for vintage buses. Prices vary, an adult ticket is £20.

2. Get a ticket to Raymond Briggs: A Retrospective at Winchester Discovery Centre

The Gallery at Winchester Discovery Centre has just launched Raymond Briggs: A Retrospective full of his artwork including classic art from The Snowman. Prices vary, an adult ticket is £5.

3. Comedy At The Park at Itchen Valley Country Park

While Friday has been cancelled, Saturday is still due to go ahead at the time this post was published. If you fancy a laugh, this could be fun, even if you have to take a coat and bundle up warm – we’ve all been doing that for the past few weeks anyway! I don’t know about you but I could do with a laugh!

4. Take Your Pick From Hampshire’s Museums

We’ve got a lot of great museums, offering a sweet way to get out this weekend while contending with this gale force weather.

I wrote this post in lockdown but it helpfully lists all of Hampshire’s museums for you to pick from. Take a look at Hampshire’s Museums.

A particular favourite of mine is Chawton House…

5. Enjoy eating inside for the first time since…?

Hampshire’s restaurants and cafes are reopening and not just for takeaway!
