1. Winchester Hat Festival

πŸ“… Friday 2-4 July
⏰ Various Times
πŸ“North Walls Recreation Ground and Winchester School of Art Car Park

I’m so thankful this outdoor performance festival has found a way to go ahead in the pandemic. It’s usually an event that takes over the whole of Winchester but this year is in the open space at North Walls Recreation Ground and Winchester School of Art Car Park.

It’s a lot of fun and kind of like Covent Garden on steroids!

  • Tickets can be booked for four hour time slots.
  • It’s all outside.

2. Netley & Hamble Makers Market

πŸ“… Sunday 4 July 2021
⏰ 10am-2pm

πŸ“ Woodies Wine Bar
🎟 No ticket required

This looks so lovely, I’m going to try and pop over thisSunday, as there’s lots of local creators and I’ve to yet been to Woodies. I did drive past it the other day and it looks really good.

πŸ“… Sunday 4 July 2021

AS IF! Classic teen movie Clueless is based on Jane Austen’s Emma and I could not think of a more fitting film to watch at Chawton House, in Jane’s Brother’s home and near to the actual home of Jane just five minutes away. Like, totally.

4. Portsfest, a cultural multi-arts festival across Portsmouth

This is a range of events across the city some are free to attend and other paid for. Previously known as Portsmouth Festivities, this award winning event has a 20 year history and has rebranded as Portsfest. Look at the full Portsfest line up.
