Things to do in Hampshire 17 September 2021

Enjoy the official last weekend of summer, the weather’s perked up and I’m loving this late sunshine, are you?

This week I’m in Cornwall and enjoying belly boarding my heart out. The surf is soooo good. If only I was fit enough to surf!

I am writing and formatting this in my phone though, so if it’s a bit wonky and different to normal, you know why!

Have you heard that potentially there’s a surf facility coming to the New Forest. A bit like The Wave in Wales? I hope that’s true, I might be able to build to surfing!

Here’s five Things To Do In Hampshire 17 September 2021…

1. Southampton International Boat Show

📅 10-19 September
Everyday from 9.30am – 6.30pm
📍Mayflower Park, Town Quay, Southampton, SO15 1ST
🎟 Tickets required
💲Tickets from £25.50

In for the second time in a row, catch the last of the Southampton International Boat Show. It’s a bit of an institution and attractions people from across the world to visit Hampshire!

The team from the boat show invited me to attend last weekend, but I’d included it in this guide before the invite.

You’ll find AD content over on my Instagram feed and highlights.

2. Beats & Eats at Hoglands Park in Southampton

📅 18-19 September
11am- 7pm/6pm
📍 Queensway, SO14 1JZ
🎟 Ticket required
💲 From £5

Live music and street food, what more could you want? This looks like a cracking event bringing some brilliant food and, not for the faint-hearted, a chilli eating competition to Southampton, perfect for a mooch and a slow weekend.👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

3. The Magic of Middle Earth Exhibition in Basingstoke

📅 13 July – 16 October
10am – 4.30pm
📍 Willis Museum, Market Place, Basingstoke, RG21 7QD

Hello my preciousssssss, is it a Bagginsssssss fan I see?

For behind the scenes snippets and cool movie artefacts and memorabilia head to this new Tolkien exhibition and journey beyond the books!

Time for a second breakfast me thinks… 😉

4. Macbeth, sustainable Shakespeare theatre in Bordon

📅 19 September
📍 The Playground, Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre, Bordon, GU35 0LR

Four women touring Shakespeare on bikes. Not your average portrayal of Macbeth, that’s for sure! Expect something quite different, I’ve been watching their clips on YouTube and it looks very unique and something a bit special.

Make sure you’ve got clothing for all weather and a picnic as the show will go on whatever the weather.
