Things to do in Hampshire This Weekend 1 October 2021 is here, heralding the start of the most bewitching month of the year and the official start to the countdown to Halloween.
Fuel shortages, petrol station closures and a storm can’t dampen my spirits for a fun weekend ahead!

Things to do in Hampshire 1 October 2021
Well hello there fellow witches, October is here, so is Autumn and Halloween is just around the corner. I’m very excited for all those warm, cosy vibes and for the leaves to change on the trees.

⚠️ Please note that, due to the wet and windy weather forecast, the event will now be held at Aspex with the unveiling taking place from 11.15am via livestream on the Aspex Instagram account.
The dinosaur returns to Southsea! Eleven years after the first Luna Park sculpture on Southsea Common tragically burned down, a new work commemorating the original, in bronze and Augmented Reality will be revealed this weekend.
Although I’m sad the event has moved online, I’m excited to see its revealed and can’t wait to go down when I can. It’s good to have the dinosaur back.

Explore the effects of the Civil War and Restoration in Winchester with this tour from some reenactors!
Delve into the history of Winchester with tours departing from the Winchester Visitor Information Centre.

Vegan stalls, food stall and more, there’s 50 stalls to wander around this Sunday afternoon. It’s too early to mention the 25th December but I’m going to put it out there that this could be a good place to start purchasing a few bits and bobs.

This event allows you to meet the artist, see prototypes of the sculptures and look at new locations for the future sculptures commissioned for the park. There’s a short walk and activities to take part in.

Get your Autumn planting sorted and take a look a the live entertainment, food, exhibitors and live talks!
Sometimes I find extra things to do and rules are made to be broken, who says I have to stick to five things to do?
As the weather is due to be terrible, this additional indoor event could be a really fun alternative thing to do to get you out of the house.

When I started looking for events I thought this was going to be a really hard weekend to find things for. But, with a little patience and determination (and a lot of research on Google) I’ve discovered some great things to go and do.
