I finally managed to try takeaway pizza from Giorgio’s in Waterlooville and OH MY GOODNESS IT’S GOOD!
If you’re looking for your next takeaway, I can recommend this delightful family run, local, independent business is serving up epically delicious pizza.
Stone baked thin based pizza with a feast of toppings anyone? Oh go on then, it would be a bit rude not to when it’s this tasty!
Do you love pizza too? Oh good (I’m hoping you said yes there because you are reading a pizza review, so it would be weird if you didn’t like pizza 😂), because I can always eat pizza, it’s one of my favourite foods.
I’d been wanting to order takeaway pizza from Giorgio’s for a while as I obsessed over their Instagram account throughout the pandemic lockdown. I knew it had to be one of the first places we tried when lockdown eased.
So it became my household’s first takeaway meal the week that the first easing took place in Spring 2021. And, what a welcome treat it was!

Normal hours are midday to 9pm, seven days a week but please always check the Giorgio’s website before visiting or ordering. If we learnt anything from 2020 and 2021 is that things can change at the drop of a hat.

Pizza for dinner!
For an indecisive person takeaway pizza from Giorgio’s is a dream because they offer a half and half pizza. This is great for those days when you can’t decide on one topping, when you want to share a pizza and for being able to try new toppings.
I particularly liked that the pizza’s were bigger and thinner my favourite kind! They’re also stone baked and the dough made using traditional techniques with a few special tweaks and they’re made with produce sourced from the UK and Italy.

My pizza was a half BBQ, a combination of light tomato base, parmesan, mozzarella, red onion, smoked pancetta, chicken and bbq glaze, and half Salami Napoli, a mix of tomato base, parmesan, mozzarella and salami napoli.

Mr Bright Lights Big City had the Smoked Pancetta and Pineapple which has a tomato base, parmesan, mozzarella, smoked pancetta and pineapple. On his other half was Sausage and Pepper, a tomato base topped with fennel sausage, piquante peppers, parmesan, red onion, oregano and mozzarella.
