The Steam Room in Southsea opened in 2020 mid pandemic and is a welcome addition to Portsmouth’s vibrant coffee scene.
This cosy set up on Elm Grove became an instant hit with speciality coffee and an amazing camp fire hot chocolate. It’s an experience I’m totally smitten with!

Southsea Deli is a great spot to pick up essentials, treats and a hot drink from in Portsmouth.
This awesome independent has plenty of products to fill your pantry with. It also hosts food making workshops to teach you new skills and will cater any events you might have.

Hunter Gatherer is tucked at the end of Albert Road serving up all those Australian style cafe vibes. It’s one of the many amazing cafes that makes Portsmouth’s independent food scene really stand out.

Portsmouth is blessed to be a coffee shop mecca on the south coast. There’s tons of beautiful independent coffee shops spread out sporadically throughout the graffiti lined streets of Southsea.
A while ago I found Home Coffee, a gorgeous understated little place near the start of Albert Road in Southsea. And, its name does it justice, it feels like you’re at home.
This place oozes cosy coffee shop vibes. I love people watching and spending slow mornings reading, writing and drinking coffee. And, this is the place to do it!
People pop in and out for takeaways, there are other people pottering about their mornings and there’s the perfect window seat to watch the world go by.
