The Taco Tuesday offering combines a few different elements from the main menu. And, looks like this… yeah, I know, a total feast, right?
Our Taco Tuesday Dinner
Mr Bright Lights Big City came with me on this jolly and we decided to share so we could try a bit of everything. I never used to be into sharing food, I’m very Joey Tribbiani from Friends on that matter.
Then I met Mr BLBC and he’s a total sharer and now I want to share everything too! If you go with a friend, it’s worth sharing so you can try a bit more of the menu.
We shared the Rib Eye Tacos, the Shrimp Tacos and the Salsa Sampler. And, after a day where neither of us had eaten, I can safely say we demolished the Mexican feast that lay before us.

Seafood is a particular favourite of mine, so I really thought the shrimp would be my favourite. While the shrimp was super, the rib eye was the tops for me. The meat was cooked so well and had so much flavour that I plan to go back just to have that again. BUENO!
On the board is two tacos, salsa, esquites (sweetcorn, herbs, feta and a creamy sauce) and Guacaposh, Mi Cocina’s take on guacamole. Oh and a pot of the hot, hot, hot sauce – it’s a perfect meal.
I also tried the Salsa Sampler for the first time. It’s shared started that’s fresh, authentic Mexican tomato salsa with the most crispy tortilla chips to scoop it up on.
Taco Tuesday at Mi Cocina
I’m honest so impressed with Mi Cocina, the food is so good and it’s such a treat to go and have a fantastic meal, in a beautiful setting with a few drinks.
We’ve been back several times now, on different days, at different times, eat in and take away and it’s been consistently excellent.
This venture opened during the coronavirus lockdown in 2020 and it has been a little beacon of light in a whole heap of darkness.
Vee and Roberto, and Will who’s front of house of the little pop up in Bridge Street House, are such lovely people. It’s a pleasure to support local when it’s the food and people are so ruddy good!
I’m also now very fond of the beautiful Bridge Street House, it has a lovely long bar, excellent cocktails and sweet little courtyard.
