Southsea Deli in Portsmouth

Southsea Deli is a great spot to pick up essentials, treats and a hot drink from in Portsmouth.

This awesome independent has plenty of products to fill your pantry with. It also hosts food making workshops to teach you new skills and will cater any events you might have.

Don’t forget the Southsea Deli Truck, the mobile arm of the store, that makes its way to popular spots around the city and sea front.

Have you stopped by Southsea Deli yet?

Inside

Southsea Deli makes great use of the space in this cosy corner store. Not only is there a deli, a workshop room and counter space but, there’s also a couple of tables if you want to grab a bit of coffee and cake.

Wooden counters, tiled floors and plenty of produce to peruse, I’m envious of anyone who has the deli as their local shop! It would be so dangerous if I lived nearby, it’s bad enough only being a short drive away.

Seasonal and Local Produce

Southsea Deli is championing seasonal and local foods from independent producers from across the UK. The majority of suppliers are located along the South coast resulting in wonderful new local food discoveries.

Some of my favourites include local fruit and vegetable supplier Bellord & Brown, Northney Farm on Hayling Island and Westcombe Dairy in Somerset.

If you visit don’t forget to sample the cracking cake selection. Some of which is provided from the incredible Bread Addiction. Also worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood.

I stopped by for a quick coffee and cake, when the lockdown restrictions allowed, and I can’t wait to return.

Where is the Deli?

98 Elm Grove, Southsea, Hampshire, PO5 1LN

You can find Southsea Deli on the corner of Elm Grove. The independent scene is thriving in Portsmouth. You’ll find it near to a whole host of other great food, drink and plant shops.

I like to go after a walk along the sea front or pop in after brunch in one of the wonderful independent cafes nearby. There’s plenty on the same street, Albert Road or Palmerston Road which is just a short walk away.
