You’ll find Rio-Vitalise propping up South Parade Pier in Portsmouth. Pick up a cold CBD infused fruit smoothie to walk along Southsea Beach with.
South Parade Pier
South Parade Pier has two huge columns supporting the canopy to its entrance. One is now the home to Rio-Vitalise and is serving up CBD smoothies to the Southsea Community.

A slick matt grey paint and plenty of plants have transformed the small kiosk into a beautiful little space packed full of blenders, fruit and oils. It’s a neat little set up and the hut has a new lease of life.

You can pick up a rage of smoothies as well as bottles of the oil there, and it’s a great way to try CBD oil out for the first time.
The smoothies are take away only but, if the weather isn’t great you can always hide in the arcade. It’s a chance to relive a slice of your childhood by listening to the various machines whirring and playing familiar high-pitched tunes.
CBD Oil Smoothies
You can opt to have your chosen Rio-Vitalise smoothie infused with CBD oil. Very crudely put, for those of you not in the know, CBD oil is cannabis oil with all the pain relief benefits but none of hallucinogenic or addictive side effects.
Recently I discovered the benefits of CBD oil through ‘Canna-tea’, peppermint tea infused with CBD oil. Lots of athletes use CBD oil for pain management purposes but, I wasn’t convinced until I tried it out. In fact I was really cynical but, it’s really effective!
I’ve badly sprained my ankle and this was the first thing that stopped it hurting and allowed me to get a full, uninterrupted nights sleep. Paracetamol and ibuprofen didn’t touch it but CBD tea gave me a good four hours pain free. The effectiveness of ‘Canna-tea’ is a welcome discovery. I’m sure anyone else who has been sleep deprived due to pain will agree that it’s a relief when you find anything that helps!
Rio-vitalise is offering different fruit and vegetable smoothies, and when I visited this is what was on the menu…
- Green Riviera – kale, lemongrass, banana, mango
- Pineapple Sunset – pineapple, papaya, mango
- Açai Kick- açai, blueberry, strawberry, mango
- Strawberry Fantasy – strawberry and banana

Rio-Vitalise in Southsea
I tried the Pineapple Sunset drink and really enjoyed it, unlike the tea I’ve tried in the past I couldn’t taste the CBD oil at all.

I would like to try the oil neat and now I know where to pick some up from!
Keep your eye out if you’re going for a walk along Southsea seafront and let me know if you have picked up a smoothie.
