Where to get real Christmas trees in Hampshire is your handy guide to finding the nearest place to you.
When I have been looking for real trees, I found it hard to find a good round up of the places across the county. I hope this guide helps you find your perfect tree this year.
Covid19 Note
This guide was written before the second full lockdown was announced. I’ve decided to remove the opening dates and times because I think that’s going to be a little misleading right now and you should get the most up to date information from each shop’s website.
Please keep in mind changes to pandemic lockdown restrictions might either delay getting a real tree or that the companies below will change to delivery options. My recommendation would be to check the websites, linked below, for the most up to date information.

Apparently it has the largest selection of real trees in the area, so it’s definitely worth checking out.

They stock a variety of species including the traditional Norway Spruce and the Nordmann Fir from 3-12ft.
It’s also worth checking the other things on offer like the holly wreaths and tree stands.

Rotherbarn stock non-drop varieties of Nordman Fir, Blue Spruce and Norway Spruce. You’ll recognise the Norway variety as it’s the classic original style of Christmas Tree.
Wylds Farm Christmas Trees, Liss

This looks like an amazing places for a Christmas tree, there’s an Après Tree Bar and Christmas shop. There’s also face painting and go-karts too -obviously I’m not sure how much this will be running under the current pandemic restrictions when you are reading this. It’s always best to double check the website.
They have a large selection of trees including Spruce, Blue Spruce and Nordman.

Liphook

Pick up a premium grade Nordman Fir and Norway Spruce Christmas Trees from the patio throughout late November and all of December.
They even offer free local delivery and you can pre-order. Perfect!
If you’re heading to pick up your tree, free parking is available in the nearby Midhurst Road car park.

Garsons has an incredible Christmas decoration section and offers a range of real trees. This is another great place to go to look at all the beautiful Christmas products.

This is in a great location right next to the M27 and stocks a range of trees. It’s not a shop it’s more like a kiosk on the side of the road affair. There’s plenty of signs so keep your eye out for them.
Haskins Garden Centre, West End

Haskins is a beautiful garden centre in Hampshire offering an incredible Christmas shop. They also stock a range of real trees.
Go early because the Christmas shop usually attracts big crowds!

This wonderful farm shop sells year round seasonal produce and Christmas trees. It’s also very convenient on the B road between Southampton and Bursledon.

A cracking spot on the Botley Road, which is very convenient to pull into and has a fantastic range of real trees. It stocks Norway Spruce and Nordmann Firs, holly wreaths, mistletoe and logs.
The Garden Society, Eastleigh

Garden centre, interior stockist, cafe and events specialist The Garden Society is also a wonderful place to go and chop down your own tree.
I went last year and there’s a field out the back, so take your wellington boots and your saw and go and pick your tree.
If you do go, you’re going to want to spend some time looking around the beautiful Christmas shop and the stunning displays. They also do some sort of Christmas Santa and elf event each year too, which is very popular.
Winchester
Burcot Farm Christmas Trees, Winchester
Burcot Farm, East Stratton, Winchester SO21 3DZ
The great thing about Burcot is that they display their trees as an indoor wood. This means you can go pick a tree in any weather. However, this year things are a little different due to the pandemic.
In order to reduce congestion at the Farm, trees can be ordered online this year and you can pick local delivery or choose and collect.
Choose and collect gives you a 30 min time section to pick your tree at the farm. Delivery is local and a maximum of 15 miles from the farm, once you’ve ordered, they’ll get in touch to arrange a delivery date.
Also they sell handmade wreaths, tree stands, cones and decorations for both tree and table in the shop.

I love the ethos of Meon Valley Christmas Trees – locally grown trees for local people, so you can avoid unnecessary airmiles.
They grown high quality, non-drop Nordman fir trees between 4-9ft. They are all specially pruned and bud rubbed to get that classic Christmas tree shape.
And you get they’re gone down the organic specialist treatment route when it comes to weeds and pests.
Any weeds and pests are controlled, and the trees are fertilised with organic and specialist treatments to optimise growth and colour.

Don’t forget to take…
When looking for a real tree in Hampshire, you’re going to want to remember to take…
- A saw – some places are pick your own Christmas tree and you will need a saw if one isn’t supplied
- Gardening gloves – fir trees can be a bit rough, wet or sticky, protect your mitts!
- A waterproof – hello winter, plus it will protect your clothes if your tree is wet
- A sheet – if you’re worried about your car take a sheet to lay down
- Sturdy shoes – grab those wellington boots
- Your camera – if you want to capture a few snaps
- Face masks and hand sanitiser – don’t make me say the C or P word!
Hampshire’s Real Christmas Trees
When I started writing this list I thought it was going to be just a handful of places. But, thanks for getting through a whopper of a list and making it this far!
Hampshire is blessed with so many places you can get a tree, and the majority are locally sourced with very few travel miles.
As Christmas in 2020 is going to be fairly different, a real tree might help you capture some of that festive magic you’re looking for.
When we bought our first home, I knew I wanted a real tree and it brought me great pleasure to have it in the house. Plus, they smell amazing. It instantly transforms a space and gives it a seasonal warmth that just can’t be beaten!

You definitely should! Nothing beats the smell either – just keep it very well watered so it keeps it’s needles
