I’ve listed local roasters by area to help you easily find a new morning brew to try. And, all of them deliver straight to your door!

It’s worth keeping in mind that lots of these companies now offer subscription services, home brewing products and brewing guides as well.
There’s something really luxurious about being able to make better quality coffee at home without being dependent on a cafe. Better coffee makes long, lazy weekend mornings better and early starts more bearable.

SO Roast Coffee Roasters, Southampton
Recommended: Rwanda Gitwe – super smooth, tasty and great at any time of the day. I’ve worked my way through every blend and single origin and they are really good. The Art House blend is a solid choice too, a great all rounder.

Winchester
Winchester is the second most popular place for coffee roasters in the county. Again, it’s no surprise that these businesses are emerging here because it too has a very healthy independent cafe and coffee scene.
Moon Roast, Alresford
Recommended: Brazil – Rainha Da Paz or Ethiopia – Hunda Oli. The single origin coffees are my favourite and the blends are excellent too. Moon Roast is very reliable, the standard of coffee is very high and they’ve always got something new to try.

River Coffee Roasters, Winchester
Recommended: ‘Source’. It’s a blend of washed processed coffee from the Timana and Jinotega regions of Colombia and Nicaragua. It’s caramel, plummy and berry undertones make for one delicious blend. I’ve polished off many bags of this!

Hampshire Coffee Roasters
Discover a new coffee blend and support these awesome Independent Coffee Roasters in Hampshire. Many of these local businesses have made the various lockdowns of 2020 bearable, and improved my coffee situation at home by supplying beautifully roasted beans.
I’m slowly making my way through these Independent Coffee Roasters in Hampshire. The coffee scene is thriving in the county and in 2020 it grew with many new companies opening.
There’s so many new roasters that this list is much bigger than when I wrote my original coffee post 10 HAMPSHIRE COFFEE ROASTERS. A lot has changed in half a year.
I can’t wait to try all the new ones I’ve discovered and added to this new directory. Yes, the coffee obsession is real!
