The hours between three and six every day have just got a little bit better as Taco Bell has launched Happy Hour!
Taco Bell’s Más ethos is evident in the new Happy Hour drinks and sharing platters – there’s plenty to go around!
The lovely team at the Southampton branch invited me to sample the menu and since my last visit there’s lots of new additions. It’s not often I get to take my boyfriend to something, so for me getting to enjoy some tasty food while chatting with my chap was a real treat.
I love social eating, where you chat and try new things so these sharing platters are just up my street.
My favourite were the nacho sharing plates, cheesy Quesadilla Nachos and beefy Loaded Nachos are perfect to pick at. They are really filling as well! If you like a bit of everything a Chicken Share Plate is a good choice as you get quesadillas, chicken and chips.
King of this meal was the delicious, crunchy and sweet churros. I wasn’t keen on the chocolate sauce, but the churros was mega!
Topping off this feast were the new Freeze drinks. These take me right back to the slushies of my childhood only with real flavour. My favourite was the Strawberry Smash, a must order if you go – mouthwateringly yummy! The next time I go I’m not going to have the car as they do alcoholic versions of these – oh hello Happy Hour!
If you like a Sol or two, there’s also a fab offer of two for £5 or four for £10! Sol really goes well with mexican food, a nice cold refreshing beer complements the rich spicy food.
We timed our visit just before the cinema. Happy Hour was a great way of fitting a meal in before an early cinema trip on a school night.
We had a great time during Happy Hour, the staff are friendly and the service really quick so I’ll know we’ll be back for more treats very soon.
Have you been to the Taco Bell in Southampton yet? It’s just up from Laura Ashley and opposite Mettricks Bargate on the high street.
