And so the Christmas adverts begin!

Marks and Spencer’s is the first of the big hitters to release its Christmas advert, Paddington & The Christmas Visitor.

It’s a marmalade sandwich filled adventure that’s perfectly timed with the release of the second Paddington film.

Christmas adverts are now as eagerly awaited as a big part of a brands Christmas campaign.

I loved the first Paddington film and this is a great way to boost a normal campaign. By aligning a brand with a beloved childhood character such as Paddington, Marks and Spencer is maximising its reach and appeal. Not only will it reach adults who loved Paddington as a child but it also reaches the current generation who love him now.

The story is cute too, Paddington saves the robber from making a big mistake and Christmas is saved for boys and girls everywhere!

Marks and Spencer have gone all out and I love this years offering, I think it’s going to be a big hit. It fits perfectly into the ‘Spend it well’ campaign that it is running at the moment.
