Bright Lights Big City reaches 500 followers

It’s not about numbers but, it’s great to see a community growing!

Hello to all the recent followers to Bright Lights Big City and welcome aboard the public relations and lifestyle bandwagon.

It’s an odd mix I know but, it means I can write about the things I love and find interesting- what’s so bad about that? I’ve got my own little niche going on and I have come to terms with the fact that being a little different is ok!

That’s the great thing about blogging – you don’t have to conform to just one thing, that’s the beauty of it!

I’m going to be introducing some new features on the blog soon, so keep an eye out and let me know what you think.

I definitely want to return to one of my goals which was originally why I started this blog. I want to help and support people getting into the PR industry and young practitioners who are a year or two into their careers.

PR can be a tough competitive industry and I found it really reassuring realising that other people were feeling the same way as me.

Reading and getting advice from peers has helped, so I’d like to offer this to young practitioners too.

But, I still want to write about lifestyle stuff, life’s not black and white and I don’t want this blog to be either. I enjoy getting out in my local community and trying new things out.
