Breakfast, brunch and coffee at Nude Food, Jersey

Jersey is blessed to have a thriving foodie scene and Nude Food stands out as the top healthy, clean eating choice on the island.

I totally fell in love with the healthy food, the gorgeous cafes and seriously good coffee, it quickly became my go to place throughout the whole of the trip.

There’s branches called Nude Town in St. Helier and Nude Beach in St Aubin (I know, I giggled too, good to know someone has a sense of humour!).

If you’re in Jersey this is a great cafe that needs to be on your radar.

Nude boasts an enviable menu of all things healthy, and more nutrients than you can share a stick at. And, I’m all here for being able to eat out without feeling totally guilty that the majority of the food has been deep fried in some way, shape or form.

Don’t get me wrong a little deep fried goodness is great in moderation but I’m so glad little cafes like this one are picking up on those Australian trends of healthy eat out and realising that people in the UK, and in this case the Channel Islands are also wanting the same thing.

It’s one of the few places I’ve found açai bowls and that is a happy foodie surprise. I love these icy berry bowls of goodness and would consume them far more regularly if they were more accessible. Basically what I’m saying is that I’d bankrupt myself in Jersey because the food scene is just SO good. Yes, emphasis on the SO. 😂

Plus, did I mention this already? Doesn’t matter If I have, I want to reiterate the point that the cafes are very cute, design led and just somewhere you want to hang out. Other UK cafes take note, more of this please!

Well I’ve banged on about how great these are for many a paragraph now, so we better take a look…

Nude Beach

The name. 😂 Ha ha! It gets me every time. Yes, the Nude in St Aubin is right on the beach. No, it’s not a nudist beach. Promise. I mean, you could probably get naked on the beach but it’s definitely not a designated nude beach, you’d get in trouble shaking your bits by the water here. It’s a beach with the Nude Food Cafe on it.

Are we all clear now? Good, phew! What a nude minefield! Shall we move on? I thought you’d never ask! 😉

This place puts the south of France to shame. It’s perfectly situated and surrounded by miles of golden sands, the perfect stop on a walk around the coast and it’s a beautiful little building with a terrace that catches the sun.

It’s light, airy and has fairly fluid lines making the most of the white, nude and beige colour theme. It’s broken up by some cool design features and the odd indoor plant adding a pop of natural green into the mix.

It was such a dreamy location to spend time at and while we had to wait for our ferry home we sat admiring this view before zipping back round the coast to the terminal. It’s about 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic so perfect to make the most of your time there instead of a grey terminal building!

The coffee is excellent and this quickly became a point were we stopped off to grab a coffee or snack on the go before heading off to explore the island for the day. Unfortunately we only found it with two days left of our trip which didn’t give us much time to make the most of such an excellent discovery.

We didn’t manage to eat at this Nude due to the way we timed our days and the lack of time we had between finding it and leaving. To be honest I’m a little gutted, the menu looks awesome and on our next visit I would absolutely make a beeline to try this out. If it’s anything like the food we had at Nude Town, well then to me this place would become my go to when visiting.

Here’s a sample menu to give you an idea of what they serve…

Nude Town

The other main Nude location is in central St Helier, hidden round a corner, but well worth seeking out.

Inside, it is similar to its beauty counterpart but with a lot less seating, I presume a lot more people use this as it has more of a takeaway vibe.

Thankfully we made this one of our morning breakfast spots and I still think about this breakfast now, so I know it was a good one!

For breakfast I had the tropical smoothie bowl – which is mango, pineapple and banana, topped with granola, goji, coconut flakes and bee pollen and maple syrup.

Henry, my boyfriend and fellow trip goer, had an açai bowl which is topped with granola, banana, coconut flakes, goji berries, cacoa nibs and honey or maple.

There’s literally so many drinks options there and I had everything from a coffee, to smoothies to mint tea – the choices are amazing!

I’d recommend you soak up some of those healthy vibes yourself if you head to Jersey, especially those dreamy beach views.

If you want to check this awesome healthy cafe to see if it’s up your street, ahead of a visit, take a look at the Nude Food website. And, if you visit or have been let me know what you thought!
