Autumn House isin the perfect location in the very heart of Winchester overlooking the Cathedral. It’s adjacent to the high street and just a stones throw from the two main car parks. You might know the building as before it was Dinghams Cook Shop.

As if it’s stepped out of an editorial for re-imagined modern Jane Austen living, Autumn House stands out from the crowd and couldn’t have found a better home than Winchester.

Every manner to which it has been presented has been carefully curated from the excellent wine selection to the homewares you wish adorned your shelves.

Inside think hanging botanicals, rolled up rugs, quirky furniture find and gorgeous glassware all showcased as if you had just walked into someone’s country home.

Sit downstairs in one of the window seats to people watch. Or, head upstairs to a comfy seating area looking out across the Cathedral and its grounds. Upstairs is where you’ll also find the eclectic selection of homewares laid out and styled for inspiration.

Top Tip: It is a perfect any time spot. A good choice for coffee with friends, a date, a glass of wine with a pal or to pick up a quick coffee, bottle of wine or lovely addition to your home.

Food Recommendations: The cakes are delightful but don’t overlook the cold salad bits. A box of the deli bits is the perfect lazy lunch or dinner if you’ve not had a chance to plan your meal.

And don’t forget to peak around the bottle shop! The choice here is excellent and it offers some far interesting choices in comparison to it its competitors.

Autumn House

It’s just such a dreamy location. I like to go in the evening to meet friends, not only does it make me feel like a grown up, but it’s just the sort of place you want to hang out.

It’s not pretentious, it’s very chilled out and easy going, much like it’s sister venture, The General Store which is conveniently opposite.

I can’t wait to spend more time here, it’s a brilliant addition to Winchester.
